A Quick and Simple Message That May or May Not Waste Your Time

Hello everyone. This is just a simple invite to check out my new blog and maybe “follow” it if you like what you see. Baseball just isn’t the hip, happening thing right now and my frustrations seem to be amplified daily concerning the whole operation. I have an actual and real hatred towards Rob “Cheap Piece of Metal” Manfred and Oakland A’s owner John Fisher. It’s also doubtful that there will be any games at all this year as a result of the current strike, further sullying the enterprise.

The inspiration for a new blog loosely came from Mark over at the lovely RetroSimba. He started writing about (American) football and I thought, “Hey, I wanna do that!” So check it out if you want, and like it if you want. That’s about the gist of it. Have a nice day.

Hey Gary. I hope you’re wrong and baseball works out its hiccups, but whatever, I’m with you…..it’s frustrating, but hell yeh, I’m up for some football. Been awhile. But i remember Air Coryell!

Good luck with the new blog. I will check it out. I, too, have found it difficult to get inspired to write new posts for my baseball blog–and the team I follow won the last World Series.

Blog away, my friend! I may be a Blue Jays fan but, I am a fan of the game, too. I hope that things get resolved because my guys are on the rise. I don’t want to waste a single second of Vladdy or Bichette’s time on a strike. Let’s all hope that cooler heads prevail. Thanks for the follow on my blog. I will do likewise for you. Have a great day.

A tweet from today, not by me:

The years grifting off easy TV money, the hanky panky with Vegas, this year’s *doubling* of ticket prices before gutting the roster for the umpteenth time, finally did it. My lifelong love of @Athletics
    baseball is dead.

    The thrill is gone.

    RIP

There needs to be a low-ceiling salary cap or teams will continue to pocket the revenue share money which is obviously not doing what it was intended to do–help “small markets” compete. This ownership has continued to be dubious and make mind-boggling decisions. I don’t blame the guy for jumping off the train, as blind fandom is sort of idiotic. Personally, I’ll continue to support the team, as I have since I was 12 years old, but I will criticize this ownership with my last breath on this small platform and also refuse to give my money to them in any capacity as well.
